Welcome to the Performance Imports blog.
Another winter almost over in Finland, that means it’s time to start thinking about getting the summer cars out of storage, changing oils, checking fluids and generally making sure all is ready for the hopefully warm summer ahead. We have been busy over the winter time, mostly fulfilling customer orders for cars from England, but recently we’ve also been making some changes to a few of the cars we currently own.

Speaking of importing cars from England, there’s currently a MkIV Supra and an Evo 7 on the way. With me being English born, I’ve been dealing with the English side of things, conversing with our UK staff and also handling customer relations. I bought my own car, a 1992 R32 Skyline GT-R, from England in 2005, and drove it back to Finland, through Sweden, so I’m no stranger to the import business! English accents can be hard to understand to the untrained ear, and I must admit that sometimes I can falter after living in Finland for so long, though I’ve successfully managed to recover some orders for customers who were having issues dealing with the English sellers, either because of the language, or a unwillingness to deal with the selling of a car to an overseas buyer.

We have a few things planned for the spring and summer months, and we will probably start with an open day to allow people to come and see our cars in the metal and get a taste of what they’re really like. As plans move forward we’ll let you know what to expect.
So, let’s hope the summer is warm and long! Long may we drive…
